Fast dinners…

Some days you just get home and feel like doing absolutely nothing and can’t be bothered spending an hour in the kitchen making a fancy dinner. Lucky for you, I have put together a few quick meals that don’t take too long to cook but taste delicious…

Quick desserts…

My second favourite meal of the day (after breakfast of course) is dessert. But can I even eat dessert, isn’t it full of sugar? Well to answer those questions yes, yes and no. Yes, I can eat dessert, yes and is full of sugar and no because you can make healthy alternatives.

What to drink instead of soft drink…

It is a known fact now that soft drink is one of the most damaging things you can drink. There is no doubt that there is a multitude of health-related diseases you are at risk of when consuming vast amounts of soft drinks. A lot of these health risks are because of the large amounts of sugar in soft drink, which is also a problem because sugar is highly addictive making it difficult for many people to stop drinking it.

Food wastage and how to prevent it…

This is something I haven’t yet talked about on my blog but have been meaning to for a while. Food wastage is costing families thousands of dollars a year and is costing the world’s economy nearly $1 trillion every year. While we may not be able to do a whole lot for the food wastage of other people, we can for ourselves. If enough people are actively trying to prevent food wastage, it can make big impacts on society.

Meal planning

Our week is often booked solid with extra-curricular activities and work so it can be difficult to make a healthy dinner. To ensure we have something healthy to eat every night we do this wonderful thing known as meal planning. We plan our meals accordingly, for example on nights when my mum is at school and I have work we plan a slow cooked meal, so we don’t have to think about it when we get home all tired and wanting nothing more than to eat.
